A custom PVC patch with hook-and-loop backing gives teams and brands a removable logo badge for a compatible loop panel. Before ordering, separate three decisions: the front design, the patch-to-backing construction and the way the matching loop panel attaches to the garment or bag. A removable patch does not automatically attach to every fabric.
What is a hook-and-loop PVC patch?
The front is a moulded soft PVC design; the reverse carries a hook or loop fastener. The two mating surfaces engage when pressed together. Many projects use hooks on the patch and a loop panel on the equipment, but confirm the arrangement rather than assuming it. Patch side: confirm whether you need hook backing, loop backing or another construction.Garment side: check whether the garment already has a compatible panel. Hook-and-loop is different from pressure-sensitive adhesive or an iron-on backing. Sewing or a suitable attachment system may still be needed for the garment-side panel. Follow the panel supplier’s application instructions; do not assume a removable badge means no sewing anywhere.
Prepare a design that works at the finished size
Send the desired width and height with units, plus the front artwork and colour references. Ask for a proof at the actual finished size. Small lettering, narrow gaps and detailed outlines may need adjustment before a mould is prepared. For raised details, mark which areas should stand above the background.

Review a sample before approving production
Check the wording, logo proportions and readability at normal viewing distance.
Compare colours against the agreed reference under consistent lighting.
Measure the finished outline and check its fit on the intended panel.
Inspect the reverse attachment and edges for gaps or loose areas.
Try attachment and removal on the actual matching panel.
Confirm packaging and any individually packed matching parts.
For outdoor or workwear use, describe the expected washing, sunlight, temperature and exposure conditions. Request the relevant material information or agreed tests where necessary. Do not treat a PVC face as proof that the complete patch, backing and garment assembly is waterproof, UV resistant or suitable for every wash cycle.
What affects the quotation?
Finished dimensions, mould detail, colours, quantity per design, backing construction, matching panels and packing can all change the quote. Ask for setup charges, sampling charges, unit price and shipping to be stated separately. If a design will be reordered, confirm how its tooling and colour specification will be retained.

Can a PVC patch attach directly to an ordinary shirt?
A hook-backed patch needs a compatible mating surface. An ordinary shirt may need an additional panel or a different attachment method. Share the garment information before ordering.
Is hook-and-loop backing only for PVC patches?
No. It can also be specified for suitable embroidered patches . Choose the front material for the appearance and design, then decide the attachment separately.
How many times can the patch be removed?
Performance depends on the selected fastener, construction and use conditions. Request a project-specific requirement and test method instead of relying on a universal cycle claim.
